PDCA was made popular by Professor Deming.
PLAN - Establish the objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with the specifications.
DO - Implement the processes
CHECK - Monitor and evaluate the processes and results against objectives and Specifications and report the outcome.
ACT - Apply actions to the outcome for necessary improvement.
This means reviewing all steps (Plan, Do, Check, Act) and modifying the process to improve it before its next implementation. This method was adopted by Japanese Motor industry and proven to be very effective.
But few of us know that a similar method have been written in the Saiva(Shiva) Siddhanta philosophy some 3000 years ago - We can use this PDCA to check our individual growth. Saiva Siddhandta method -
Just replace the PLAN to KNOW(Knowledge) and it becomes KDCA.
Example :- If we want to start of any business ventures. First we must have the knowledge of the market and the business before venturing into it. After getting the know how - we step into the business . After that - We need to CHECK constantly on the business progress and the market trend - Then ACT on any improvements /cost cutting structures (repeat the process itself - Know , Do, Check, Act)
